Annual June Recital

  • Easton Public Library 691 Morehouse Road Easton, CT, 06612 United States (map)

Our Annual June Recital is a wonderful afternoon full of music, highlighting the progress students have made during the school year. This year’s recital will be held on Sunday, June 29th (note: this is a date change from 6/22 to 6/29). Two separate recital sessions will be held at 1:30 and 3:00 pm that day. Students may perform one piece for this recital. Be sure to also discuss your participation with your teacher in advance. The RSVP form will be posted here and sent via email in May.

Recital Times:

Students will be assigned to either the 1:30 or 3:00 session. Each recital will run approximately one hour long. If you have a conflict that day, you may request either the 1:30 or 3:00 time on the RSVP form, although in that case, please note that your teacher may not be present at your requested session.

Accompaniment:

Tracy will be available to accompany any vocalists and non-piano instrumentalists that require piano accompaniment. Students may schedule a 15 minute rehearsal with her in advance (rehearsal date TBA).

Additional Info:

1. Students should arrive 15-20 minutes before their scheduled recital time to warm-up and get settled.

2. Performers should dress nicely for the occasion, although we want everyone to wear something they are comfortable in!

3. Students may sit with their family during the recital.

4. Any requests for switching times will be honored on a first come, first served basis in order to keep the recital sessions balanced and not longer than one hour each. Last minute requests made after the RSVP deadline may or may not be able to be honored.

5. Students and their families should plan to stay for the entire hour of their assigned recital session out of respect for the other performers. We ask that you do not make requests to go early or late in the program, as we take numerous factors into consideration when creating the program order, so that we can facilitate the best musical experience for both the audience and our performers.
